On Thursday (21 June) Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete
Ross Kellett caused a major coup in the fourth round of the match play
stages at the British Amateur Championships (18 - 23 June) by claiming
the scalp of world number one in the amateur rankings, Jamie Moull. | |
Doubles joy for Murray
Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Jamie Murray and his
partner Eric Butorac fought back from a set down to clinch the
Nottingham Open (18 - 23 June) doubles title.The pair defeated Joshua Goodall and Ross Hutchins 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10-5) for their fourth tournament win of the season. | |
Grainger comes second
Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Katherine Grainger and
her team came 2nd in the Rowing World Cup II competition of 2007 (22 -
24 June) in Amsterdam, Holland. | |
On target for Europeans
The squad for the 2007 European Target Shooting Championships (9 - 22 July) has just been announced. It will be held in Granada, Spain this year and three Scottish Institute of Sport supported athletes have made the cut. | |
