Murray wins Wimbledon

Scottish Institute of Sport supported tennis player Jamie Murray made up for Andy's enforced absence from Wimbledon by partnering with 'adopted Brit' Jelena Jankovic in the mixed doubles to victory over fifth seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Alicia Molik and became Britain's first Wimbledon champion for 20 years.

At the third round of the World Cup series (6 - 8 July) in Tacen, Slovenia, several Scottish Intitute of Sport supported athletes did Scotland proud, despite the fact that Tacen is well known as an inconsistent venue that can dent the pride of even the best paddlers in the world.

Bronze glory for Scots

Scotland ended the week in style with a 4-3 victory over England to clinch third place at the 2007 European Men's Amateur Team Championships (3 - 7 July) at Western Gailes Golf Club in Ayrshire.

Scots fall at final hurdle

The Scotland hockey squad fell 4-0 to Pakistan in the final of the four-nations tournament in Moscow on Sunday (8 July). It was an excellent performance considering the Asians are ranked fifth in the world and have already qualified for the Beijing Olympics.

Scottish Institute of Sport supported badminton player Emma Mason and Imogen Bankier produced a good effort before going out to Denmark's No.7 seeds, Lena Frier Kristiansen and Kamilla Rytter Jull in badminton's Grand Prix Gold Thailand Open in Bangkok (3 - 8 July).
