Derek Brown

Derek Brown is a Former Scottish Junior Curling Champion (1988) and he won the prestigious World Junior Championships sportsmanship Award in the same year. Over the many years he competed, he played with the likes of Mike Hay, Warwick Smith, Peter Loudon, Graeme Connal and many others.

His other notable achievements include coaching Scotland teams at numerous World and European Championships, coaching GB Mens Teams at Salt Lake City 2006 and Turin in 2006.

Derek was appointed as SIS High Performance Head Curling Coach in December 2006 as well as taking on the roles of National Coach for RCCC and Performance Director for British Curling.

In his spare time Derek likes playing golf, watching other sports and listening to music.
