Alan Clyne was crowned champion at the 2008 Scottish National Squash Championships, staged at Newlands Squash Club in Glasgow.

A member of Inverness Tennis and Squash Club and a Highland Institute of Sport-supported athlete, Clyne lifted the prize after defeating the current title holder, Stuart Crawford, in the final.
This completes a great month for the Black Isle 21 year old, who won the Scottish under-23 and Scottish University titles. He also produced fine wins against former world No.3, Simon Parke, former world No.7, Derek Ryan and current world No.34, Daryl Selby.
Clyne will be playing on the Professional Squash Association circuit when he completes his physical education degree at Edinburgh this summer.
