Scotland won the women's title at the World Junior Curling Championships (1 - 9 March) for the second year in succession when Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Eve Muirhead and her team of Kerry Barr, Vicki Adams, Kay Adams and Sarah Macintyre beat their Swedish hosts by a thumping 12-3 in Ostersund on Sunday (9 March) morning.

On the final day of GB Olympic Rowing trials held in Hazewinkel, Belgium, (7 - 9 March) the six finalists in the women's sculls had the finest pedigree of the day.

Scotland's Imogen Bankier and Edinburgh-born Robert Blair are aiming to build on their success in reaching the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles at the All-England Super Series in Birmingham (4 - 9 March).

Scottish Institute of Sport supported hockey trio Ally McGregor (Loughborough), Stephen Dick (Inverleith) and Mark Ralph (Kelburne) helped Great Britain edge India 2-0 to maintain pole position and win the tournament in the Olympic hockey qualifiers (1 - 9 March) in Chile.
