The British Olympic Association (BOA) today selected canoe slalom members of Team GB for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Louise Martin CBE was announced today by the Scottish Government as the new Chair of sportscotland.

With Great Britain's men and women, several Scottish Institute of Sport supported hockey players included, currently in training for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, a number of matches have been arranged to aid their preparation.

Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Jillie Cooper made a big breakthrough by reaching her first ever final on the European circuit with Belgium's Nathalie Descamps, but couldn't quite clear the last hurdle against the top seeded pair in the women's doubles at the Spanish Open in Madrid (22 - 25 May).
