Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Monique McCarroll and partner Sarah Barrow established themselves as medal contenders for the Beijing Olympics as they took silver in the women's 10m synchro at the FINA Diving World Series in Sheffield (24 - 25 May).

Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Katherine Grainger and her quadruple sculls crew slipped to third place in the final of the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland (30 May - 1 June) in what Scotland's four-times world champion conceded was a cruel but timely reminder that the road to Olympic gold is not straightforward.

Krystle and Sally shine in defeat to US

Scottish Institute of Sport supported golfers Sally Watson and Krystle Caithness were stars of the Great Britain and Ireland team, but they couldn't stop the mighty Americans from winning the Curtis Cup (30 May - 1 June) for a sixth successive time over the Old Course, St Andrews.
