Murray seals epic victory

Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Andy Murray won the match of his life last night (30 June) to take his place in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon against tournament favourite Rafael Nadal.
Andy Murray wimbledon 2008The feisty Scot showed grit and guts and some astonishing shots to fight back from two sets down to beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet 5-7 3-6 7-6 (7/3) 6-2 6-4 to earn a mouth-watering showdown with Spain's Rafael Nadal.

Having shown his right bicep to his fitness coaches after his victory Murray explained: "I've worked hard on my physical conditioning and felt I was the fitter guy and I just wanted to show the guys that. I'm really excited to be in the next round.

Murray added "I'm not favourite to win against Nadal but I feel I can win if I play well. I've had chances before against him."
