Aberdeen's Catriona McGregor, who last month was selected for Scotland’s Commonwealth Youth Games team, was given a further boost this week when she was given a place in the GB Programme for the coming twelve months.

Catriona has had an outstanding season with several high profile wins, national records and GB caps. Such has been her level of performance that the British Shooting Federation considered her for selection onto its Performance Programme. This means Catriona will be exposed to more competition at a higher level with a view to aiming toward the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Throughout the past year Catriona has benefited from a range of co-ordinated support through GIS including strength and conditioning, medical support, physiotherapy, podiatry, nutrition and performance lifestyle. GIS will continue to work with Catriona in partnership with Scottish Shooting and British Shooting to ensure that she has every opportunity to reach her ultimate target in four years time.
