Assistant Swimming Coach
Ciaran O'Brien joined the Institute in 2005 as Assistant Swimming Coach.
O'Brien graduated with a Master of Science in Sports Studies from the University of Stirling in March 2005. During his Masters programme, Ciaran was also the Graduate Assistant Coach at the University, prior to that he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from the University of Strathclyde in 2002.
Ciaran was previously a West of Scotland Institute athlete and a member of both the Scottish Youth Squad and the Scottish Junior Elite Squad.
In October 2005 Ciaran was selected as part of UKSport's Elite Coach programme for the next three years.
