We'll be adding factsheets, information and advice to the Athlete Zone over time, so check back regularly for the latest best practice.

Social media guidance

Here is some helpful information from UKSport on how athletes can safely get the most out of social media.

Strength and conditioning guidance

We have put together a  PDF guide and a series of fantastic instructional videos on how to make the most of your gym sessions.

These were made for athletes who don't have access to a regular strength and conditioning resource and for junior athletes aspiring to succeed on the World sporting stage.

Recovery booklet

Recovery is an important part of training. Have a look at our booklet on how to get the best from your body using recovery to aid your training

If you would like further information on some of the topics covered in the recovery booklet, please click one of the headings below.

Theraputic Use Exemption Forms (TUE)

There are two types of TUE:

1) A standard TUE - required for a Prohibited Substance or Prohibited Method other than inhaled beta-2 agonists.

2) Another TUE specifically for asthma - only required for the use of inhaled beta-2 agonists for certain products but the common asthma inhalers only need to be declared online

Athletes are no longer required to apply for an abbreviated TUE for non-systemic glucocorticosteroids (eg. a steroid inhaler or non-systemic doctors steroid injections) but must declare to UK Sport when glucocorticosteroid use begins. Declare use online here at the UKAD - declaration form
