Everybody needs time out, so this week, we've persuaded Women's Olympic Curling Coach Nancy Murdoch to sit back, relax and tell us a bit about herself...

For the record, please state your full name (embarrassing middle names included):

Nancy (Bleep……..) Murdoch – don’t divulge my middle name!!

What is your job title and what do you do at/with the Institute?

Olympic GB Women’s Curling Coach for Vancouver Games 2010

Have you ever participated in sport at an elite level? - If yes, then what, when, for how long and how far did you get?

Competed at Curling from age 12 and retired 4 years ago to commit professionally in Elite Coaching.  Highlight was winning Scottish title in 2001.  Low point was losing out in Semi final at World Championships to deny qualifying for the Olympics in Salt Lake City.

If you could do another person's job at the Institute for a week, what would it be and why?

Elite Sports Analysist (Mr.More) because it can have such an impact of athlete performance and you can also glean new innovative ideas from other sports

If you could be anything else other than a curling coach, what would it be and why?

Psychologist –always been intrigued with people and what makes them tick.

If you could invite three people (living or dead) to a dinner party at your gaff… who would they be and why?

Billy Connelly (for the banter)
Andre Agassi (He’s Hot and talented)
Sandra Schmirler, Canadian Olympic Curler (she was an inspiration in every sense)

Where is the most scenic and far flung paradise-esque place you have visited with your work at the Institute? With work in general?

Vancouver Island –love it and Korea – an experience indeed

Have you ever had any bizarre/funny incidents with any of the athletes you work with? If so… whom and what?

No just me coming off worse than a glass table!!

Which sports stars do you admire (if any) and why?

My brothers of course David and Neil (both multiple gold medallists)
Tiger Woods (his training ethic and immense talent)
