Gordon Reid, the British No 1 from Helensburgh, won his first ITF 2 Series NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour title with doubles partner, Dutchman Ronald Vink at the Polish Open in Plock.

Reid and Vink justified their top seeding with a comprehensive 6-0 6-4 defeat of third seeds Jozek Felix (Slovak Republic) and Leonid Shevchik (Russia).

Earlier in the week, 17-year-old Reid, the World’s top junior who is supported by the West Scotland Institute of Sport, also picked up singles world ranking points by reaching the quarter finals.
