Maggie Bush

Maggie joined the SIS full time in April, 2009.  She developed an interest in sports physiotherapy in 2003 when she worked as a physiotherapist for London Welsh Rugby club. 

Maggie graduated in 1997 with a BSc (hons) Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh 1997 and then completed a Master in Sport Physiotherapy from UCL, London in 2004.  She is also a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Maggie worked in London for six years and during the last two of these years, she worked in a private practice on Harley Street that had an interest in dance and performance.  The clinic covered various West End Shows and the national theatre.

In the eighteen months prior to working full time at the Scottish Institute of Sport, Maggie was working at physiofocus, a sports injury clinic in the Bannockburn.  As part of this job she covered the athletes at the Central Institute of Sport and saw SIS athletes. She also travelled to Switzerland with the men’s GB Olympic curling squad and toured to South Africa with the Scottish men’s cricket team

In 2010 Maggie was a GB physiotherapist at the holding camp for the Winter Olympics and then one the Team Scotland physiotherapists at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

In her spare time, Maggie enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including running, skiing and walking.
