Helen has moved to the Institute as Exercise Physiologist for the West and SIS. Her main areas of focus will be cycling, badminton and covering the west.
Helen studied at Manchester Metropolitan University, where she gained both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Sport Science with a specialism in Exercise Physiology. Previous jobs include Sport Scientist at a Premiership Rugby Union Team in England, Research Assistant and most recently Sport Scientist for ParalympicsGB & the English Institute of Sport. This previous role gave her the opportunity to travel with the Paralympic Team to Beijing and develop some expertise in the area of disability sport and travel. Helen is looking forward to developing her experience in an Olympic and Commonwealth environment.
Helen loves to travel, shop and socialise and was actually born in Scotland despite sounding very English!
