Oli moved north of the border to begin working for the institute as a multisport physiotherapist in July 2009. Graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Oli began his professional work in the obscure and slightly dangerous city of Tegucigalpa in Honduras as a medical volunteer where he ran a clinic for post surgical patients, worked in casualty and more importantly managed the local football team.
As a keen football fan Oli has enjoyed working as a physiotherapist in the Barclays Premiership, for the England U 16-19 Football teams and had some wonderful experiences on the road with the charismatic and spectacularly talented Great Britain Blind Football team.
After completing His MSc in Sport and Performance at Kings College London Oli worked as a visiting researcher at Imperial College London, was a proud member of team GB in Beijing for the Paralympics and took some time out to see the world. His special interests lie within disability sport.
Oli believes in taking a functional and creative approach to his work which he always tries to add some humour to. In his spare time he likes to travel, read, play the guitar, do every sport possible (badly) and is beginning to really like Scotland.
