Scottish Institute of Sport supported curler, David Murdoch travelled home to Scotland on Sunday (17 December) with a silver medal in his pocket, but still thinking he should have added the European curling crown to his world title.

Mickel makes his mark
After failing to make points at any of the World Cup races in Canada and the USA, returning to Europe proved the perfect tonic for Scottish Institute of Sport supported athlete Finlay Mickel who enjoyed a solid 13th place in Saturday's (16 December) Saslong downhill in Val Gardena, Italy.

Medal success for MacLean
Scottish Institute of Sport supported cyclist Craig MacLean added two further World Cup medals to his collection when he took bronze and gold at the Moscow round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup.
