Fiona Simpson

fiona simpson.jpgFiona started with the Institute in August 2006 as a temp and became a fully fledged member of the team in January 2007. She then progressed to Communications Projects Manager (High Performance) in June 2009, taking responsibility for all things communication-y in the high performance department of sportscotland. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked in Geotechnics in Dunblane, where she gained valuable Administration and Marketing support experience, as well as learning how to drive transit vans.

Fiona graduated in June 2004 from Stirling University with a BA (hons) Film and Media, then went travelling for 6 months to see the world. Fiona concurs that she did not see the whole world, but she did indeed see part of it. She has many leather bound books and her apartment smells of rich mahogony.

Her main responsibilities at the Institute include electronic media and the Institute website, project management, events, branding, film, publications, clothing, merchandise and photography.

Outwith the Institute, Fiona has an active interest in tennis, rugby, photography, music, festivals, travelling and general malarky. Her one true love is music and if she could choose one sport to add to the Institute umbrella, it would be dodgeball.
