Vanessa Zucco

vanessa webVanessa is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Australia, having completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology and a Master of Health Science (Exercise and Sport Science) with Honours. Vanessa's exercise science experience spans both physiology and biomechanics. She has provided assistance and support to elite and development athletes at the Australian Institute of Sport, State Institutes and Academies within Australia.

She is currently an Exercise Physiologist with the SIS and ESIS and assists on a part-time basis at Heriot Watt University.

Vanessa's research interests include the biochemical aspects of fatigue in the elite performer and the use of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMRS) as a non-invasive means of quantifying alterations in muscle metabolite concentrations following exhaustive sub-maximal exercise.
