Scottish Institute of Sport supported tennis player Andy Murray is again the king of San Jose once again after showing both skill and stoicism to retain his SAP Open title and his name now stands proudly alongside former world No.1s John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and Andy Roddick as the only players to win back-to-back titles in the Northern California event.

Scots women come 8th

Scotland's women have fallen at the final hurdle in the Indoor Hockey World Cup losing 13-0 to reigning champions and tournament favourites Germany on Friday (16 February). The result hands third place in Group A to Australia with the Scots losing out on goal difference.
