A remarkable turn-around in the last three ends helped Scottish Institute of Sport supported curler Sarah Reid and her rink claim gold at the World Junior Curling Championships in Eveleth, Minnesota, USA, beating Canada by 7-6 after a nail-biting extra end.

Scots duo on the rise

On Thursday (8 March) the adventure of Scottish Institute of Sport supported badminton duo Emma Mason and Imogen Bankier at the Yonex All-England Badminton Championships (7 - 11 March) came to an end. The pair lost to one of the world top women's doubles acts at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.

Scotland's men won their first official International Hockey Federation four-nations tournament for a decade on Thursday (8 March) when they defeated Egypt 2-0 in the final of the event in Cairo.

The growth of Chinese herbal shops in UK has been exponential - most shopping malls now have them. High performance athletes need to be very careful as some Chinese herbal products can contain banned substances which can lead to a doping offence. Be very cautious!!!!!
