Scottish Institute of Sport supported tennis player Andy Murray was defeated on Saturday (17 March) in the semi final of the Pacific Life Open (5 - 18 March), California, USA.

At the World Women's Curling Championship 2007 Aomori, Japan (17 - 25 March), Scottish Institute of Sport supported curlers Kelly Wood (Skip) Jackie Lockhart (Third), Lorna Vevers (Second) and Lindsay Wood (Lead) are currently lying in third place behind Denmark and Canada having won 4 and lost 2 matches.

Scottish Institute of Sport supported badminton player Linda Sloan heads up a squad of promising Scotland players who will compete in the European Junior Championships in Saarbrucken, Germany, (31 March - 8 April).

At the Pan-Am Championships (16 - 18 March) in Foz do Iguassu, Brazil, the site of the world championships later this year, there were some excellent results from Scottish Institute of Sport supported athletes Campbell Walsh, Tim Baillie, Dave Florence and Fiona Pennie.
