Scottish Institute of Sport supported curlers Kelly Wood and her team of sister Lindsay, Lorna Vevers and Jackie Lockhart scooped the bronze medal from this year's Women's World Curling Championships in Aomori, Japan (17 - 25 March) after their 6-9 semi-final defeat to Denmark on Sunday (25 March).

Kerrs take 11th at worlds

At the 2007 ICU World Figure Skating Championships in Tokyo this weekend (20 - 25 March), Scottish Institute of Sport supported ice skaters John and Sinead Kerr placed 11th after a controversial 2 point deduction following an alleged illegal move was performed in the 'original dance' event.

Top British medal hope and Scottish Institute of Sport supported swimmer Kirsty Balfour made her presence felt during the semi finals of the Women's 100m Breaststroke, at the FINA World Championships, where she improved on her own British record.  Balfour came home in 1:07.67 qualifying fourth fastest for tomorrow's final (Tuesday 27 March).

Scottish Institute of Sport supported tennis players Andy Murray, Jamie Murray and Jamie Baker have all been included in a six-man squad for the Europe-Africa Zone Group I match against Holland, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC (6 - 8 April).
