SIS Foundation: Winning Partnership

Inspired by the Institute's successful winning-focused elite athlete strategy, the Scottish Institute of Sport Foundation was founded in 2005.

This business-led partnership is driving a 'Culture of Winning' programme in Scotland, using sport as the catalyst for producing more winners in all walks of life.

The Foundation promotes the similarities between the skills used in the boardroom and the sports field to develop an ethos of winning.

Its vision is to challenge thinking, change attitudes and create more winners by inspiring young Scots to fulfil their sporting potential, with the 2012 Olympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games being the focal points of its pioneering programme.

Ultimately, the Foundation is the culmination of a vision that will enable Scots to fulfil their potential across many walks of life.

Through a targeted, strategic programme, the Foundation will support the Institute's winning culture while promoting greater self-confidence, leadership, motivation and success.

The partnership between both organisations is built on a well-established and fruitful winning culture and strategy. Working together, the aim is to fulfil core activities that will assist both the Scottish sporting fraternity and the wider community.
